ok so a few weeks ago, I wrote a review about my thoughts on the jakks eyeclops compared to my aaxa p1. For christmas, my girlfriend upgraded my projector and now I feel like i've been living in the dark this whole time.
If you read my previous review, i'm sure you can tell that I don't hold back when it comes to my opinion on things. I got this p2 and i have to say...dang.
Now, my first impression is that its a heck of a lot brighter than the p1 that i had. I won't even bother comparing it to the eyeclops because that is trash. I kind of sort of feel like the p1 has been rendered useless as well.. they advertise the aaxa p2 pocket projector as a 33 lumen unit with a native resolution of 800x600. Those specs alone pretty much sum up the upgrade. It grabs my attention more so than the other for the sole fact that i can watch movies outside and actually enjoy what i'm watching.
specs:
AAXA P2 Pico Projector - LCoS Based Hand-held Pocket Projector - LED Micro Projector
However*** there are a few complaints i do have about the p2. First is that the lens protector is something I feel will be lost in the near future. It is completely detachable from the unit so itll probably end up in my couch or eaten by my dog. Secondly, its soooooo loud compared to the p1. Its not unbearable, but it can get annoying because the fan noise is pretty intense. Thirdly, the battery that the p2 comes with is pretty much as big as the unit itself. I upgraded my battery pack so its even more huge. lol.
